Product Discovery

Sustainability

EB Denim was founded and rooted in vintage reconstruction, using Made-in-America Levi’s 501s. As we’ve expanded into ready-to-wear collections and original designs, we’ve upheld the same commitment to ethical practices across our partnerships and factories. Our production runs on renewable solar and wind energy and uses recycled, post-consumer waste materials when possible.

Fabric

We source fabrics from Artistic Milliners, our LA manufacturer’s parent company, known for quality and sustainability. Using GOTS-certified organic, recycled, and BCI cotton, we support farmers with education for sustainable practices. Our reduced indigo dye process cuts chemicals, water, and dye usage. Artistic Milliners treats 800,000 gallons of water daily, recycling 85% at their AM 5 mill, aiming for 92% by 2025.

Wash

We strive to replicate the perfect vintage washes using the latest technology on the market to achieve the perfect vintage fades without chemicals, water and excess energy. To achieve the perfect vintage replica, we use lasers to etch our wear patterns into every jean, combined with SFI's proprietary waterless technology called Clear Fade and Clear Vintage. The technology uses a ZDHC level-1 certified powder that eliminates the use of potassium permanganate and chlorine. On top of that, it requires no water or heat during the application process helping us reduce GHG emissions.

Trims

Traditional metal plating for buttons and rivets uses electroplating, which consumes significant energy, water, and chemicals. Our partners use an eco-friendly dipping process that requires zero energy and minimal resources. Buttons come from Art-N-Craft (Turkey), and reclaimed leather patches from Medike Landes (Germany).

Partners

We maintain close relationships with our manufacturing partners, and have complete visibility over the cut, sew and finishing process. We’re a quick 15 minutes from our partners which allows us to work collaboratively to ensure both parties are sharing the risk and reward, while ensuring the highest quality products.

Our cut and sew partners are located in downtown LA and friends of Star Fades International.
